Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By using this website, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions described below. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not use this website or make any purchase from it.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of, and any purchase from, the Pearl Emphasis jewellery site, and constitute an agreement between you and Pearl Emphasis. Pearl Emphasis reserves the right to change or modify any of these Terms and Conditions or any policy or guideline of this site at any time, and in its sole discretion. Any changes or modification will be effective immediately upon posting of the revisions on this site. Your continued use of this site following the posting of its changes or modifications will constitute your acceptance of such changes or modifications. Therefore, you should frequently review these Terms and Conditions and any other applicable policies from time-to-time to understand the Terms and Conditions that apply to your use of this site. If you do not agree to the amended terms, you must stop using this site.
Product availability and pricing
All of our prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and exclude GST. Duty Free or GST Free is not available by purchasing through the Pearl Emphasis website.
If you’re interested in a piece of jewellery that is currently on back order, please call us and we can tell you when the item will be back in stock. Sometimes an item can go out of stock before we’re able to post notification to the site. If this happens, we will notify you personally so we can help you find another item.
Infrequently, data, including prices, may be inaccurately displayed on our site due to system or typographical errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and we do not honour inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices are also subject to change without notice. For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:
- Credit cards: Use your Visa or MasterCard credit card.
- Direct Bank Payment
We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 working days (Monday to Friday) from receipt of payment. You will receive email notification of dispatch. Delivery time will depend on your location and the delivery method chosen.
Courier deliveries can be expected within 3 days of dispatch, and Postal deliveries can be expected within 7 days of dispatch.
If we expect delivery to exceed these time frames for any reason we will notify you by email.
Alternate Delivery address
If you prefer, we can ship your order to an address other than your billing address. As a security precaution, we require that your alternate shipping address be on file with your credit card company. This step helps protect you from fraudulent charges to your credit card.
We insure each delivery up to $1500.00. That means that your order shipment is risk-free. For added security, a signature will be required upon delivery of your Pearl Emphasis jewellery order. Please make arrangements for someone to be available at the shipping destination to sign for receipt. There is a nominal charge for deliveries. Courier Post is our preferred courier company. International deliveries will be shipped at the purchasers expense and quotes can be provided.
Independent Jewellery Valuations
When you purchase a piece of jewellery with a retail value over $1000, we ship it to you with the accompanying Independent valuation. These reports are detailed documents created by valuation experts independent of Pearl Emphasis that specify the quality of the diamonds, metals and gemstones used as well as the replacement and indemnity value of the piece.
Returns and Exchange Policy
Our returns policy allows you to return or exchange your purchase within 5 days of the dispatch date if you are not entirely happy with your purchase.
For the returns or exchange offer to be accepted the following applies:
– The jewellery must be returned in the original packaging within 5 days of the dispatch date;
– The jewellery will be reviewed on receipt by Pearl Emphasis and no jewellery will be accepted for return or exchange if there is any sign of damage or wear;
– If an Independent Jewellery valuation is supplied and is not returned, this carries a $60 replacement fee;
– Return postage is at your cost;
– Once we have received your returned item and it has been accepted, your refund or replacement will be processed within 14 days.

At Pearl Emphasis, we make every attempt to ensure that our online catalogue is as accurate and complete as possible. In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, colour and size may vary slightly.

Consumer Guarantees Act
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Pearl Emphasis Guarantee
Pearl Emphasis provides a one year guarantee on all of our products which covers faulty manufacture.
The warranty does not cover the following:
- Normal fair wear and tear
- Any accidental or non-accidental damage such as drops, knocks and scratches
The product needs to be returned with your receipt and original packaging and we will either repair or exchange the product.
If you need to return any faulty jewellery to us, please complete the repair form (click here) and send the jewellery back to us with your receipt.
